Mission Statement
DRT designs and manufactures DSP-based communications test and
measurement equipment. DRT's wireless test solutions address the need for
high-capacity or multi-standard analysis of cellular systems. While other
products tend to require multiple scanners linked together to perform such
system measurements, DRT offers this capability within a single portable
product.
DRT's products are ideal for inclusion into test and
measurement, software defined radio, and synthetic instrumentation solutions.
DRT products feature:
-
Multiple Scanner Capacity
-
Improved interference analysis
-
Layer 2 and 3 Decoding for GSM, EDGE, cdma2000 and WCDMA, among others
-
Wideband architecture
-
Reconfigurable and upgradeable
-
Network interoperability
DRT can also provide consulting services in many areas related
to communication systems design and analysis. Specific areas of expertise
include DSP-based receiver design, communication systems theory,
cellular/PCS/wireless communications, RF, and software design.
DRT was formed in 1997. Initially located in Frederick,
Maryland, DRT moved to Germantown in April 1998. In July 2001, DRT moved from
its initial Germantown facility to a larger facility, also in Germantown. The
current facility comprises 106,000 sq. ft. with approximately 15,000 sq. ft.
dedicated to equipment manufacture, and the remainder dedicated to offices and
engineering development laboratories. DRT was purchased by Boeing in December
2008 and is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company.
