Field Services Technician

Digital Receiver Technology, Inc (DRT) is seeking a uniquely qualified individual with a background in electronics, networking, PC maintenance, Tactical and/or Strategic Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) and several years of field experience to perform Tier 1/2 maintenance support for in-house and field-deployed DRT products. This position requires deployment to overseas and military theatres for extended periods (90 to 360 days at a time on a rotating basis). This position requires working and living in difficult and dangerous environments. Individual will also conduct Training in both formal and informal (mostly OJT) environments. A qualified individual will closely interface with the customer in planning and operation of DRT and associated products in unique conditions. Provide highly technical professional implementation of DRT products to solve related customer problems with a focus toward improving customer relationships. Support will include field testing of selected equipment and software. Individual must be able to work with minimal supervision and support. Position requires excellent oral and written communications skills; strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills; and proficiency with MS Office Suite of programs. Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The following experience is highly desired for the position: 1-2 years experience in operating and/or maintaining the DRT 1000 equipment; five years electronic and/or computer experience; 3-5 years of wireless or radio experience a plus, along with an advanced working knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) theory and application; 1-2 years experience in networking. 3-5 years of Military Intelligence experience- SIGINT preferred. Benefits include working only 6 months of the year for a full years salary. Candidates must have an active and fully adjudicated TS SSBI/SCI clearance. It is highly preferred that applicant has an adjudicated Full Scope polygraph. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required. Digital Receiver Technology (DRT) based in Germantown, MD designs and manufactures high-performance Software Defined Radios (SDR) for wireless test and synthetic instrumentation solutions. DRT was acquired by The Boeing Company in December 2008. U.S. citizenship required.

Level 4 - Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 5 - Bachelor's degree and typically 15 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Current Top Secret Clearance required. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
